Common questions

Yes — StitchWIP is free to download and use. The free tier includes up to 3 projects, 30 inventory items, 10 wishlist items, 5 patterns in your library, plus the stitch counter, calculators, DMC Color Charts, reference guide, and full session history. StitchWIP Pro ($7.99 launch price, one-time) unlocks unlimited everything plus Stats, Goals, and the Project Wheel.

No. StitchWIP Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. You pay once and own it forever — including every feature we add to Pro in the future. The current launch price is $7.99 and may increase as new features are added. Early adopters are locked in at the price they paid.

Open StitchWIP, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. As long as you’re signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase Pro, it will restore instantly and free of charge. If you have any trouble, email us at support@stitchwipstudio.com.

StitchWIP is currently available on iPhone (iOS). Android support is in the works and coming soon. iPad support is also on the roadmap.

No account needed — ever. All your data is stored locally on your device and never sent to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes — StitchWIP Pro includes stat export as CSV or as a shareable HTML report. Your regular iPhone backup also backs up your StitchWIP data. A full data export and cross-device sync feature is on the roadmap.

In the stitching community, UFO stands for UnFinished Object — a project that’s been started but hasn’t seen a needle in a while. StitchWIP lets you mark projects as UFO status so they don’t clutter your active WIP list while still being tracked. No judgment here.

A SAL (Stitch-A-Long) is a community event where a designer releases a pattern in parts on a schedule and stitchers work on it together. StitchWIP has built-in SAL support with part tracking and per-part progress logging.

BAP stands for Big Ass Project — a community term for large, multi-page patterns. In BAP mode, set a total page count and check off pages as you complete them.
