What’s New in Version 1.0.3

A look at everything that’s landed since launch — new tools, improvements to session logging and stats, Color Charts upgrades, and a handful of fixes that came straight from tester feedback.

StitchWIP went live on June 30th, and within the first few days of real people using it, a handful of things came up that needed attention. Some were bugs, some were features I already had planned that just moved to the top of the list. Version 1.0.3 is the result — it’s a big one.

Here’s everything that’s new.

✏️ Edit & Delete Past Sessions

  • Tap any session in your project’s history to edit it or remove it entirely.
  • Stitch counts, hours, notes, and date can all be corrected after the fact.
  • The project’s progress and totals update automatically when you make changes.

📊 Per-Project Stats

  • Every project now has its own Stats screen — tap the chart icon in the project header.
  • See total sessions, stitches logged, hours spent, average stitches per session, and your personal records for that project.
  • Most productive day, projected finish date, frog count, and estimated cost per stitch.
  • Available to everyone, free and Pro.

⏱️ Time Calculator

  • A new tool in the Tools tab to estimate how long a pattern will take to finish.
  • Enter the stitch count, your personal stitching speed (auto-filled from your history), and how many hours a week you have available.
  • Get a total time estimate, a paced weekly timeline, and a realistic finish date.
  • Includes a mini estimator: enter pattern dimensions and fabric count to calculate stitch count automatically.

🎨 Color Charts Upgrades

  • Tap any color row to open a detail card with a large swatch, the DMC code, full name, and thread type.
  • New filter row at the top: choose All, Solid, Variegated, Color Variations, Coloris, Étoile, Satin, or Metallic.
  • Étoile and Metallic threads now show a shimmer effect on their swatches in both Color Charts and Inventory.

🆕 Starting Stitch Count

  • When adding a project you’re already partway through, you can now enter how many stitches you’ve already done.
  • This sets your starting progress percentage and keeps your logged session stats accurate from day one.
  • It’s noted on the project as a baseline — not counted as a logged session.

⭐ Pro Free Trial

  • The first time you tap into a Pro feature, you’ll be offered a free 7-day trial.
  • No payment needed to start — explore Stats, Goals, the Wheel, and everything else Pro has to offer.
  • Upgrade to keep it for $7.99, or it reverts to free at the end of the week.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • SAL projects: fixed a crash when adding a second part on Android.
  • Frog Log: logging a frog from inside a project now correctly adjusts the progress percentage.
  • Backdated sessions: adding a session with an old date no longer overwrites your current progress.
  • Edit Project: opening and saving a project no longer resets the progress percentage back to your starting point.
  • Delete session: deleting a session now correctly recalculates your total stitches logged.

The update is rolling out now on iOS — you should see it in the App Store shortly if it hasn’t arrived already. Android testers have the latest build too.

As always, if you run into anything or have a feature you’d love to see, I’m always happy to hear from you at support@stitchwipstudio.com.
